Walking

How fortunate I am to live in a place where I can walk in nature. Where I can notice the changing of the seasons, and the impact the weather has on the land. Today, suddenly, after the rain, and the storm last night, bushes with small white flowers have burst into bloom. The sky is that intense African blue, washed clean, and the clouds are soft water colours. They build into darker clouds while we walk. Clouds with substance. We may get rain again soon. The thirsty ground has already sucked up most of the water, and the ground is soft, but not slippery. The colours in the rocks shine out. It is the start of a good day.
